Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 2025
At luxenavari, we're serious about protecting your information. This policy explains what we collect, why we need it, and how we keep it safe. We follow Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and work to be completely transparent about your data.
Information We Collect
We gather different types of information depending on how you interact with our activity-based budgeting platform. Some details you give us directly, others we collect automatically as you use our services.

- Payment information for subscription services
- Communications you send us through support channels
Automatically Collected Data
Our systems collect technical information to improve your experience and keep things running smoothly:
- Device type, operating system, and browser information
- IP address and general location data
- Usage patterns and feature interactions
- Session duration and page views
- Error logs and performance metrics
How We Use Your Information
We're not in the business of selling your data. Everything we collect serves a specific purpose related to delivering and improving our budgeting platform.
| Purpose | Details |
|---|---|
| Service Delivery | Processing your budgets, saving your work, and maintaining your account access |
| Communication | Sending updates about your account, responding to support requests, and sharing relevant platform changes |
| Improvement | Analyzing usage patterns to enhance features and fix technical issues |
| Security | Detecting fraud, preventing unauthorized access, and protecting your financial data |
| Legal Compliance | Meeting our obligations under Australian financial and privacy regulations |
Data Sharing and Third Parties
We don't hand your information to random companies. When we do share data, it's limited and purposeful. Here's who might see your information and why:
Service Providers
We work with trusted partners who help us run luxenavari. These include cloud hosting providers, payment processors, and email service platforms. They only access what they need to do their job and are bound by strict confidentiality agreements.
Legal Requirements
Sometimes we're legally required to disclose information. This happens when we receive valid court orders, need to comply with Australian tax authorities, or must respond to legitimate law enforcement requests.
Business Transitions
If luxenavari merges with another company or gets acquired, your information might transfer as part of that transaction. We'd notify you beforehand and ensure the new owner respects this privacy policy.
We never sell your personal information to marketing companies or data brokers. That's not our business model and never will be.
Your Rights Under Australian Law
Australian privacy law gives you real control over your information. You're not just a passive user—you have enforceable rights.
- Access: You can request a copy of all personal information we hold about you. We'll provide this within 30 days, usually faster.
- Correction: Spotted something wrong? You can ask us to fix inaccurate or outdated information in your account.
- Deletion: Want to leave? You can request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to legal retention requirements.
- Restriction: You can ask us to limit how we process your information in certain circumstances.
- Portability: You can request your data in a commonly used format to transfer to another service.
- Objection: You can object to certain types of data processing, particularly for direct marketing purposes.
- Complaint: If you think we've mishandled your data, you can complain to us or directly to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
How to Exercise Your Rights
Email us at support@luxenavari.com with your request. Include your account email and specify what you'd like us to do. We'll verify your identity (usually by confirming your email address) and respond within 30 days. Most requests are handled within a week.
Data Security Measures
We take security seriously because you're trusting us with financial information. Our approach combines technical safeguards with organizational policies.
Technical Protection
- Industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest
- Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
- Multi-factor authentication options for account access
- Automated backup systems with geographic redundancy
- Intrusion detection and monitoring systems
Organizational Policies
- Limited employee access on a need-to-know basis
- Background checks for staff handling sensitive data
- Regular security training for all team members
- Incident response protocols for potential breaches
- Annual third-party security certifications
That said, no system is completely bulletproof. While we do everything reasonable to protect your information, we can't guarantee absolute security. You should use strong passwords and keep your login credentials private.
Data Retention and Deletion
We don't keep your information forever. Our retention periods balance your needs with legal requirements.
Active Accounts
While your account is active, we keep your data to provide ongoing service. You control your budget information and can delete specific entries anytime through your account settings.
After Account Closure
When you close your account, we begin a deletion process. Most personal information is removed within 90 days. Some data must be retained longer for legal reasons—typically financial records for seven years under Australian tax law.
Backup Systems
Deleted information might persist in backup systems for up to 180 days before being permanently removed. These backups are encrypted and not accessible for day-to-day operations.
International Data Transfers
Your data is primarily stored on Australian servers. However, some of our service providers operate globally, which means your information might be processed outside Australia.
When we transfer data internationally, we ensure adequate protections through:
- Standard contractual clauses approved by Australian authorities
- Verification that receiving countries have adequate privacy laws
- Additional security measures for sensitive financial data
- Regular audits of international data handling practices
Our primary cloud infrastructure remains within Australia to minimize international transfers and ensure local data sovereignty.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies—small text files stored on your device—to make luxenavari work properly and remember your preferences.
Essential Cookies
These keep you logged in and remember your settings. They're necessary for the platform to function and can't be disabled without breaking core features.
Analytics Cookies
We use these to understand how people use luxenavari—which features are popular, where users get stuck, and what we should improve. This data is anonymized and aggregated.
Your Cookie Choices
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking analytics cookies won't affect your ability to use luxenavari, though blocking essential cookies will prevent login and session management.
Children's Privacy
luxenavari is designed for adults managing business or organizational budgets. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we discover we've accidentally gathered data from a minor, we'll delete it promptly.
If you're a parent or guardian who believes your child has provided us with personal information, contact us at support@luxenavari.com and we'll address it immediately.
Changes to This Policy
Privacy regulations evolve, and so does our platform. We update this policy occasionally to reflect changes in law or our practices.
When we make significant changes, we'll notify you by email and display a prominent notice in your account for at least 30 days. The "last updated" date at the top of this policy shows when we last made changes.
Continuing to use luxenavari after we've notified you of changes means you accept the updated policy. If you disagree with the changes, you can close your account before they take effect.
Australian Privacy Principles Compliance
luxenavari complies with the 13 Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) outlined in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This includes requirements for open and transparent management of personal information, anonymity and pseudonymity options where practical, and specific protocols for handling unsolicited information.
We maintain detailed records of our privacy practices and regularly review our compliance with APP requirements. Our privacy management plan is updated annually and reviewed by external compliance advisors.
